FJD Trion comparison: P2, P2 Vision+, S2, T1, C1, X1, V100F and V4e

Which FJDynamics LiDAR scanner fits you? An overview of the full FJD Trion range with range, accuracy, weight and typical use cases.

FJDynamics LiDAR scanners from the FJD Trion range

Short answer: Choose the P2 for lightweight handheld scanning of interiors and scan-to-BIM, the P2 Vision+ if you also need thermal imaging, the S2 for long range and large sites, the T1 to combine mobile scanning with a tripod mode, the C1 for indoor floor plans, the X1 for guided capture with GNSS and 360° imagery, the V100F for GNSS surveying and LiDAR in one instrument, and the V4e as a lightweight entry model.

All values below are manufacturer specifications. Accuracy is after processing and lab-tested; real results depend on environment and workflow.

Handheld SLAM scanners

  • FJD Trion P2: 700 g (excl. battery, external camera and RTK module), 70 m range @ 80% reflectivity, 1.2 cm relative / 3 cm absolute accuracy, optional RTK. For interiors, plant rooms, CAD and scan-to-BIM.
  • FJD Trion P2 Vision+: the same LiDAR platform as the P2 with RGB and thermal cameras linked to the point cloud, ≤ 1 cm relative accuracy. For thermography, energy and MEP surveys.
  • FJD Trion S2: up to 120 m range, 1.8 kg, 1.2 cm relative / 3 cm absolute accuracy, optional RTK and vehicle mounting. For infrastructure, stockpiles, mines and large facilities.
  • FJD V4e LiDAR: about 890 g, 50 m range @ 90% reflectivity, 1 cm relative accuracy. A lightweight entry option for surveying, construction and mapping.

Hybrid, indoor and GNSS

  • FJD Trion T1: hybrid scanner with 640,000 points/s and 120 m range; ≤ 1 cm relative accuracy in mobile mode and 4 mm @ 10 m in tripod mode. For projects that need both coverage and local precision.
  • FJD Trion C1: indoor LiDAR with built-in ±3 mm laser measurement that produces editable floor-plan drafts and exports DXF. For estate agents, architects and facility managers.
  • FJD Trion X1: handheld system linking mission planning, guided scanning, GNSS, 360° imagery and reporting; 384,000 points/s.
  • FJD Trion V100F: combines GNSS positioning, LiDAR, cameras and IMU for point surveying and 3D scanning in one field system.

Common to the range

  • Point cloud export as .las, .e57, .ply and .pts.
  • The FJD Trion Scan field app and post-processing in FJD Trion Model.
